PANEL DISCUSSION IN LONDON
On 11 June 2025, the Parthenon Project hosted a panel discussion in London, titled “Rethinking a United Kingdom-Greece cultural partnership within the British Museum’s “reimagination”: What next for the Parthenon Sculptures?”.
Leading politicians and figures from the UK and Greece came together to discuss the future of the Parthenon Sculptures, and whether the British Museum will seize the opportunity for a ‘cultural partnership’ with Greece in the context of its ‘reimagination’ project.
Lord Vaizey, Former Minister of State for Culture and the Digital Economy and Co-Chair of the Parthenon Project delivered the welcoming remarks, and BBC Culture and Media Editor Katie Razzall moderated the discussion.
